Dr David Worsley – Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr David Worsley is an Australiasian trained Orthopaedic surgeon. He obtained his medical degree through the University of Newcastle (NSW) before completing orthopaedic specialist training with positions in Sydney (St Vincents Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney Childrens Hospital), Newcastle (John Hunter Hospital, John Hunter Childrens’ Hospital and Maitland Hospital), New Zealand (Rotorua) and Adelaide (Women’s & Children’s Hospital). Dr Worsley was inspired by his time in Adelaide to relocate with his family to South Australia.
Dr Worsley has completed fellowships in trauma surgery (New York), foot & ankle surgery (Sydney) and additional post fellowship training in anterior hip surgery.
Dr Worsley is extensively involved in orthopaedic training, including holding positions on the state eduction committee of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He holds a masters degree in public health. He has worked in a voluntary capacity in Papua New Guinea, understanding the challenges of evolving health care systems.
Dr Worsley consults privately at Flinders Private Hospital and Stirling Hospital whilst also consulting in the public sector at Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Health Service.
Dr Worsley’s patient care philosophy utilises individualised treatment, with a balanced approach and setting of realistic treatment goals.
In his down time Dr Worsley loves enjoying the benefits of South Australian living with our beautiful hills, golf courses, beaches and food and wine. His understanding of AFL is still developing.
